By performing surface and safety improvements, Lynch has contributed to maintaining access to a thriving island economy including tourism, manufacturing, and an active military base. One of the challenges of this project was to perform improvements to the pavement structure and subbase while minimizing impacts to the motoring public. Lynch was able to work within the strict traffic management restrictions, often completing repairs to the subbase in a single night shift to maintain continuity in the riding surface.
