In 1905 the Matthew Thornton Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution placed a large bronze tablet on the walls of the former Nashua Public Library, now referred to as the Hunt Memorial Building. The plaque honors the men from Old Dunstable, now Nashua, who served in the Revolutionary War.

The inscription reads:

1775-1783
IN HONOR OF
THE MEN OF OLD DUNSTABLE
THE FOUNDERS OF NASHUA
WHO FOUGHT IN THE WAR OF
THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION
THAT THEY AND THEIR DESCENDANTS
MIGHT ENJOY
CIVIL AND RELIGIOUS FREEDOM
THIS TABLET IS ERECTED
A.D. 1905
