In 2018, the Lancaster Historical Commission dedicated a memorial in Middle Cemetery to all of the town’s Patriots who served during the Revolutionary War. The memorial is built into the low stone fence surrounding the cemetery and faces out toward Main Street. A plaque situated on a square granite slab features the image of a musket-wielding minute man encircled by thirteen stars.
