Colonel John Robinson DAR Chapter Memorial

Near the Concord Road gateposts to Westford’s Westlawn Cemetery, which was called West Burying Ground until 1896, a bronze plaque acknowledges the local Patriots interred on the grounds. The local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution placed the commemorative plaque and the stone marker in 1968 to celebrate their townspeople’s contributions to the Revolution.

In particular, the plaque honors the Chapter’s namesake, Colonel John Robinson, who fought at the North Bridge in Concord. The plaque’s text reads:
