Brookline Honor Roll Plaque

1919 Brookline, NH

Town Hall, Main Street

Brookline, NH

Presented to the Town of Brookline in 1919 by Walter Lang Parker of Lowell, Massachusetts, a large bronze plaque set in a rectangular block of granite sits in front of the Daniels Academy Building which presently serves as Brookline's Town Hall. The plaque is dedicated in memory of Parker's father, William Harrison Parker, a native of the town. Five years earlier, Parker presented the Town a flag staff, together with a U.S. flag also in memory of his father, to stand in front of the same building which had been constructed the previous year.

The honor roll plaque recognizes the men from Brookline who served in the "War of the Revolution," "War of 1812," "Civil War," "Spanish War," and "World War." Forty-eight names are split into two columns and listed alphabetically under the heading "War of the Revolution."
