Like the headstones of <a href=\"https:\/\/s2.designcostaging.com\/clients\/mmm\/monuments\/isaac-davis-tombstone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Isaac Davis<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/s2.designcostaging.com\/clients\/mmm\/monuments\/james-hayward-tombstone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">James Hayward<\/a>, Hosmer\u2019s headstone was relocated from his original burying place at <a href=\"https:\/\/freedomsway.org\/place\/acton-woodlawn-cemetery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Woodlawn Cemetery<\/a> to its current location on Acton\u2019s town common in 1851. Hosmer\u2019s remains were reinterred within the <a href=\"https:\/\/s2.designcostaging.com\/clients\/mmm\/monuments\/isaac-davis-monument\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Isaac Davis Monument<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The headstone reads:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Momento mori<br \/>\nHere lies the<br \/>\nBody of Mr Abner<br \/>\nHosmer son of Deacon<br \/>\nJonathan Hosmer &amp;<br \/>\nMrs. Martha his wife<br \/>\nwho was killed in<br \/>\nConcord fight<br \/>\nApril 19th 1775 In the<br \/>\nDefence of the just right<br \/>\n&amp; Liberties of his Coun-<br \/>\ntry being in the 21st<br \/>\nyear of his age<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Abner Hosmer was a minute man from Acton who fought and died at the Battle of Concord on April 19, 1775.
