Ten months from the start of design, maroon and gold superfans funneled into a first-class 44,500-seat facility unrecognizable to most accustomed to the Big East’s smallest stadium. The daunting design and construction schedule for the renovation and addition required proactive engineering and close collaboration between the design team and contractors creating a state-of-the-art stadium and auxiliary buildings for toilets, concessions and lockers within time constraints and on budget.
