Why I Love What I Do
Family has always been at the center of my life, and over the years, I’ve come to appreciate even more deeply the importance of photographs and the memories they hold. I know how quickly life moves and how much more meaningful photographs become with time.
I began my career assisting top fashion photographers in New York and Boston, but it wasn’t until I took a few photographs at my twin sister’s wedding that I discovered what I truly wanted to photograph. For the first time, I felt I was creating images that really mattered, images that would become part of my family’s personal history.
More than 25 years later, that belief still shapes the way I photograph weddings. Being entrusted with capturing your wedding story is an honor I never take for granted. Experience has taught me when to step in, when to step back, and when to simply pay attention to what’s unfolding naturally.
My approach is warm, intuitive, and unobtrusive. I want you to be fully present in your day and not thinking about the camera. I’m there to notice the quiet glances, the anticipation, the laughter, the beautiful chaos, and all the emotion unfolding around you.
With the eye of a photojournalist, the soul of an artist, and the heart of a romantic, I make sure the people, details, and moments that matter are beautifully documented, while always leaving room for the unexpected.
At the heart of my work is a love for preserving the moments that grow more meaningful with time.

Tips
A Few Things to Consider to Create Beautiful Photographs

1
Some of the Best Photographs Happen Between the Planned Moments
Not every great photograph is a planned moment. Some happen naturally, when no one is thinking about the camera or what comes next. Often, it’s the glances, reactions, laughter, and small interactions in between that tell the story of the day.
Remember: Stay present and let the moments happen naturally.

2
Build a Timeline That Breathes
A thoughtful timeline creates structure for the important moments, but leaving room for the unexpected allows real moments to unfold. Weddings are filled with spontaneous interactions, fleeting expressions, and moments of connection as the day moves from one event to the next.
Remember: Leave a little wiggle room for the unexpected.

3
Give Yourself Time to Get Ready
The final hour before your ceremony can go surprisingly quickly. Build in a little extra time for hair and makeup, getting dressed, and those last finishing touches. A comfortable cushion keeps the morning from feeling rushed and gives you time to enjoy those moments with the people around you.
Remember: A relaxed start sets the tone for the day.

4
Don’t Rush the Little Moments
It’s easy to focus on what’s coming next, but try not to rush through the small interactions along the way. A few extra seconds to linger in a hug, share a laugh, or connect with someone you love gives you the chance to truly experience it and allows those genuine moments to unfold naturally.
Remember: Give the smaller, quieter moments time to become memories.

5
Make Time for Portraits
Candid moments tell much of the story, but there’s also something special about a beautifully composed portrait. Allow your photographer a few minutes to consider the light, setting, and details to create an image that feels timeless.
Remember: Leave room for both the moments that happen naturally and the photographs worth creating.

6
Movement Creates Energy
You don’t always have to stand still for a photograph. Walking, turning, or simply interacting with each other creates natural movement and energy. A flowing dress, a sweeping veil, or a glance while you walk can bring a photograph to life.
Remember: Movement creates moments that posing alone can’t.

7
Explore different views
Consider how your ceremony layout may affect your photographer’s view of you, including large florals or décor that could block key moments. Let them know about any available balconies, staircases, or unique vantage points .
Remember: An interesting vantage point can tell the whole story.

8
Take your time down the aisle
Enjoy your walk as a newly married couple! Walk slowly, look at each other, take in your guests, and let yourself enjoy the excitement around you.
Remember: Take your time and enjoy every step.

9
Set Aside Some Alone Time
Your wedding day moves quickly. Set aside a few uninterrupted minutes for just the two of you, with no guests, photographer, or phones. Take time to connect, take it all in, and return feeling more present. That connection will naturally come through in your photographs.
Remember: A little time alone helps you be more present for everything that follows.

10
Organize Your Family Photographs
Create a list of the family formals you’d like and share it with your photographer ahead of time. A clear plan ensures enough time for each grouping and keeps everything moving smoothly.
Remember: Plan your family list and the time to capture it.

11
Celebrate the People You Love
Your wedding brings together the people who matter most. Make time to connect with them through a hug, a dance, a laugh, or a conversation. Those connections often become meaningful memories and photographs.
Remember: Take a moment to connect with the people who mean the most.

12
Have Fun
Not every photograph needs to be serious or perfectly composed. Be playful, try something unexpected, and let your personality come through. Those moments bring energy and fun to the story of your day.
Remember: Some photographs can simply be fun.

13
Weather is part of your story.
Some of my favorite weddings have happened in the rain, unexpected snowstorms, and relentless winds. Weather often creates photographs. No one could have imagined.
Remember: Embrace the day you're given and let the magic unfold.

14
Share your VIP list
Your photographer will know to capture your immediate family and wedding party, but there may be others you don’t want missed. Sharing those names ahead of time helps ensure they’re part of your wedding story.
Remember: Point out the people you especially want captured.
